How clients are using our APIs

Freepress

Uses the Constituent API to createOrUpdate records in Constituent360 when a visitor registers for email or submits a story on their Save the Internet microsite and then queries the database to create a mapping mashup of submitted stories by combining the getUser method with Google's mapping API.

NARAL Pro-Choice America

Combines email and text-messaging registration on a single form for their Txt4Choice campaign. Additionally, many affiliates, like NARAL Pro-Choice New York, have integrated their email registration forms with Convio using the Constituent API.

Thirteen / WNET

Uses the Constituent API to register new subscribers from their primary website and microsite campaigns with a two-part registration form. Using the createOrUpdate method they quickly capture new subscribers in Convio and then request additional information using the standard join form.

The Humane Society of the United States

HSUS builds campaign-specific micro-sites (Protect Seals and Stop Puppy Mills) and uses APIs to fullfill petition requests and register participants for eNewsletters and mobile messaging.

CARE

CARE's I Am Powerful - Power Circle campaign integrates a custom flash-based petition form with an API to automatically register participants who choose to join the CARE eNewsletter.

AFSCME

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) has used APIs to help implement some of their innovative campaign sites. For one such campaign, AFSCME worked with Beaconfire to mashup Google Maps with APIs to display virtual yard signs for every individual who signed the petition.

Pre-K Now

To support the custom registration process desired for their email updates, the web team for Pre-K Now used an API to immediately register new supporters yet maintain complete control of the web site experience.
